The DVDate software only works on the Windows operating system. It has been tested on different versions since version 7, in 32 bits as in 64 bits. DVdate is a 32-bit application, but it also runs perfectly on 64-bit systems.
It uses 32-bit directshow filters found on the system. These filters are partly provided by Microsoft in the Windows operating system and partly installed by other applications. If some of these filters are not installed correctly or are corrupt, then DVdate may have problems to work.
One can test the integrity of directshow filters installed on a system with my program Filmerit .
