Splitting a DV avi into smaller files

On the main page for DVDate, it is claimed that DVDate can “split a DV file into as many clips as scenes”. I’m trying to figure out how to do this. After opening the Scenes Editor, it appears DVDate can indeed identify scenes in my DV file, with timestamps and everything. But how do I use this Scenes Editor to split my file?
The “How to Use” section in the documentation might be a suitable place to explain exactly how to use DVDate to “split a DV file into as many clips as scenes”, but unfortunately, it appears to be completely empty, both on the English and the French version of the site: https://paulglagla.com/en/docs/documentation-of-dvdate/how-to-use/
