Inlay used to work perfectly but suddenly switched to displaying wrong year in the inlay, but shows correct year date time etc in the inlay window. This just started happening this morning, cannot understand why as it has worked correctly for months now.
How can I get it to display 2025 instead of 1925 in the inlay?
I’m using windows 11 and worked with dvdate 6 and now dvdate 8.3.7 and the date is correct. I’m having issue with the edit inlay command of only displaying 10 secs on each new day not working. It’s showing entire video. The instructions are not real clear. I edit the settings, then do the Inlay in the Video command that duplicates the avi file with the inlay. But my settings are ignored. I wasn’t sure if the writing out the srt file does anything to input into dvdate so I deleted them and retried. No change.
As far as your question, you didn’t say your version of dvdate or your computer os. I would update to latest version and see if it fixes anything. Also update your computer and restart. I’m using my old windows 8.1 laptop to capture avi files with a 710 pinnacle firewire cable connection. I first deleted extra apps and repartitioned drives and ran full virus protection. Then I put different virus program on so windows defender would stop sucking my memory and disabled the new antivirus and disabled wifi. That gave all my ram and cpu for capturing avis from my old sony digital camcorder. After getting clean avi, I transfer to external hard drive and play with dvdate and cutting up size of video and compressing to mp4 on my powerful windows 11 laptop. The capture only needs old tech, lol, dedicated machine to do without choppy effect. Only 50 digital8 tapes to do!!!
